Welcome to the Local Governing Body for Little Mead Primary Academy. We are the governing body with delegated responsibility from Endeavour Academy Trust for ensuring that all pupils at Little Mead secure outstanding achievement through the delivery of a high quality education within a safe and secure environment.

Our priority at all times is to work with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure that the individual academic and well-being needs of each pupil are met fully and effectively by means of a broad and balanced curriculum which, through use of targeted and personalised developmental support, helps to maximise each pupil’s potential and enjoyment. We meet regularly with senior staff to scrutinise data and work collaboratively on strategic planning, and we make regular visits to school to meet pupils, parents and staff. We also attend parents’ forums from time to time. Some of us have children at the school.

Just as important as our pupils’ development is their safety and wellbeing. We are focused on safeguarding for all pupils in our care and have appointed named governors with specific responsibility to work with staff in the development and maintenance of a secure environment within which all of our pupils can thrive in confidence.

We report to the Board of Trustees of Endeavour Academy Trust and meet regularly with the Board to review progress and results in the school.

If you would like to know more about our role, please don’t hesitate to get in touch via the school office or by means of the suggestions box situated outside reception. You can find governor profiles outside reception, too, as well as on the school website. We would also love to hear from you if you would like to join us, to ensure the best possible outcomes for all of our pupils.
